MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — New traffic signals are up, and construction is well underway along Joe B. Jackson Parkway off Interstate 24 for the incoming Buc-ee’s location in Murfreesboro.
The travel center will span 74,000 square feet, featuring 120 fueling stations and, of course, Buc-ee’s signature beaver-themed knick-knacks, fresh food and clean bathrooms.

“It is anticipating over 5 million visitors a year,” Murfreesboro City Council member Jami Averwater told News 2. “And the average consumer at Buc-ee’s, I’ve learned, spent $100. So that is 5 million people spending $100 each, which means about $3.5 million in sales tax revenue to the city and another $3.5 million in sales tax revenue to the county.”
