NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — For rural areas across Tennessee, ambulances serve as a lifeline. New funding just announced through President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” will allow departments across the state to get new ones.
“The public seems to sometimes think that an ambulance is just a quick transport to the hospital, and that’s not the case. An ambulance is a roaming E.R. without the extra hands on board,” said Keith Douglas, liaison for the Tennessee Ambulance Service Association.
