Nashville motorcyclist killed in crash as Tennessee motorcycle deaths climb

A 35-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on Hermitage Avenue Wednesday afternoon, marking another fatal motorcycle crash during a year that has already seen nearly as many motorcycle deaths statewide as all of 2025.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, William B. Scott was riding a Kawasaki ZX1 southbound on Hermitage Avenue around 4:40 p.m. on June 3 when he collided with a Mercedes sedan crossing the roadway from Academy Place.
