An environmentalist cattle raiser hopes to find a new owner for his Knights Valley estate, as interest in North Bay land grows among Silicon Valley buyers seeking private, sprawling properties in Wine Country.
Ghost Donkey Ranch, a 227-acre estate tucked between Calistoga and Healdsburg known for donkeys and cattle dotting its hillsides, hit the market for $35 million last month. Listing agent Kristie Eddy of Golden Gate Sotheby’s International Realty described the massive property’s natural beauty, calling it “a unique experience,” between the modern main house with a car collector’s touch and the immersion in ranch life as the property has been home for about 80 cattle and two donkeys.
