This weekend, a variety of vendors, performers and festivities will gather at the South Main Mercado to celebrate the Hispanic and Latino heritage that’s rooted in Rockford. Highlighting the culture, ingenuity and community spirit of south Rockford, the Mercado brings everyone together to enjoy and learn from one another.
The South Main Mercado is an annual event in Rockford that started back in 2023 and has grown ever since. This year, it is organized by the Ethics Heritage Museum, Comprehensive Community Solutions, La Onda, and SWIFTT.
