2 men, junk-removal company, indicted in Summit County illegal dumping investigation involving Copley Township properties

AKRON, Ohio — Two men and an Akron-based junk-removal company have been indicted following an investigation into alleged illegal dumping activities on properties, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Friday.

According to a release from Yost’s office, a Summit County grand jury indicted DeShawn Dixon, 47, of Akron; Zachary Dupert, 34, of Akron and Dupert’s business, SOS Junk Removal.

Dixon faces charges including open burning and dumping of solid waste, operating a solid waste facility without a license, illegal disposal of construction and demolition debris and tampering with evidence…
