Maryland’s Investment In Orioles’ Camden Yards Nears $160 Million After Latest Approval

BALTIMORE, Md. — Maryland has approved another nearly $30 million for renovations at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, pushing the total value of approved construction packages to nearly $160 million as work continues on the iconic ballpark.

The Maryland Board of Public Works approved a $29.95 million construction contract during its June 3 meeting, marking the sixth major construction package awarded as part of the state’s long-term investment in Camden Yards.

The latest approval is part of a larger renovation effort tied to the Orioles’ 30-year lease agreement with the state and a broader $600 million authorization for stadium improvements.
