WESTLAKE, Ohio (WOIO) – Westlake police say reckless driving and loud cars around the Crocker Park area have been escalating for years, and they’re now launching a department-wide push to stop it.
Westlake police say they’ve received increasing complaints about drivers coming to Crocker Park and Crocker Road to show off vehicles, revving engines, racing and doing burnouts.
“It’s been going on for the last couple of years. We see more and more people who go up to Crocker Park or the Crocker Road, the vicinity of Crocker Park and show off their cars by revving engines, doing burnouts, just basically causing a nuisance up there with reckless operations,” Westlake police Capt. Jerry Vogel said, adding officers have seen it firsthand and “we’re not going to tolerate it.”…
