Kalamazoo Christian, Schoolcraft advance to MHSAA D-4 state semifinals

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The lights are shining brighter as the rounds continue, but they never seem to be too bright for Kalamazoo Christian or Schoolcraft, as both girls soccer teams advanced to the MHSAA Division 4 state semifinals.

Kalamazoo Christian came away with a 6-0 win over Saugatuck to continue their run towards their second consecutive state championship while Schoolcraft defeated Plymouth Christian Academy, 1-0.

The Comets wasted little time in taking the advantage on the scoreboard, as Elli VanDusen put home a header at the 14 minute mark to give the team a 1-0 lead. She was joined on the scoreboard 12 minutes later by Laila Rashid…
