Ten months after the Downtown Development Review Board granted conceptual approval for town homes on undeveloped land adjacent to the RiversEdge development on the Southbank, there is a new concept for the site.
On June 11, the DDRB is scheduled to hear a request for conceptual approval for Pier 95, a development of 58 town homes on 3.92 acres south of RiversEdge, the mixed-use project under construction on the site of the demolished JEA Southside Generating Station.
The rectangular property is north of Interstate 95 and south of Prudential Drive near the WJXT TV-4 studios at 4 Broadcast Place.
A staff report and plans attached to the agenda show five- and six-unit buildings connected to a future extension of Reed Avenue. Each building appears to be three stories, and there is a shared courtyard, pavilion and outdoor kitchen in the center of the property…
