County officials aren’t the only ones running into townhome troubles.
In May, the Maryville Planning Commission reviewed an annexation request for a 5.62-acre parcel at 1305 Big Springs Road. The applicant, Big Springs Investment Co., submitted a concept plan for 25 townhomes between the Bridgeway Apartments and the historic Isaac Yearout home.
Commissioners’ primary concern at the time was the lack of sewer access. Assistant City Manager Kevin Stoltenberg said city staff were planning and budgeting for sewer infrastructure extensions in the area, but construction remained several years away.
