SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) – A woman will spend the next 40 years in state prison after pleading guilty to the attempted murder of her ex last year, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office.
Courtnie Williams, 35, has been in DeSoto County custody since May 2025.
She entered a guilty plea to her attempted murder and kidnapping charges Thursday. A robbery charge was dropped as part of her plea deal.
Her 40-year sentence will be followed by 20 years of supervised release…
