The Oswego and Bristol Kendall fire protection districts are among those receiving grant funding for fire gear extractors, specialized machines used to clean firefighting gear.
Oswego was awarded about $19,000 and will install extractors at three fire stations to replace aging equipment. Bristol Kendall is receiving about $16,000 and plans to purchase a washer and dryer.
