NWS: High rip current risk along Lowcountry beaches through Wednesday evening

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The National Weather Service says there is a high risk for rip currents along South Carolina’s Lowcountry coast through Wednesday evening.

The NWS advisory covers Cape Romain, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Folly Beach and Kiawah Island. A high risk means life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone.
