Attorney General to prosecute charges tied to SC boutique owner accused of defrauding customers

COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced his office will prosecute all charges related to a South Carolina boutique owner accused of defrauding customers across the state.

Pamela Brooke Schronce, 30, owned a children’s boutique called Thomas and Turner’s Boutique in Anderson County.

Officials said Schronce has been arrested 17 times since Jan. 1 in several counties. The arrests come after more than 50 customers alleged they placed orders online and Schronce never intended to fulfill them.

  • Jan. 1 – Arrested in Anderson County and extradited to Fairfield County where she was formally charged
  • Jan. 7 – Arrested by the Easley Police Department
  • Feb. 5 – Arrested by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office and released at 6:25 p.m.
  • Feb. 5 – Arrested by the Easley Police Department an hour after leaving Spartanburg County
  • Feb. 9 – Arrested in Anderson County
  • Feb. 11 – Schronce turns herself into the Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office
  • Feb. 13 – Arrested by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office
  • Feb. 13 – Arrested by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office
  • Feb. 19 – Booked into the Richland County Detention Center and on hold for Greenwood PD
  • Feb. 20 – Arrested by the Greenwood Police Department
  • Feb. 23 – Booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center
  • Feb. 25 – Booked into the Pickens County Detention Center
  • March 2 – Arrested by the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office
  • March 19 – Booked into the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office
  • April 2 – Booked into the Greenville County Detention Center
  • April 6 – Transported from the Greenville County Detention to the Oconee County Detention Center
  • May 1 – Booked into the Pickens County Detention Center
