FREMONT — Fire crews put out a one-alarm fire at a vacant commercial building Thursday morning that spewed a smoke plume hundreds of yards high and wide.
The smoke from the blaze at a building in the 2100 block of Prune Avenue — about 2½ miles from the Tesla company on Fremont Boulevard — could be seen for several miles. It did not injure anyone, fire authorities said…
