Former Bridge City Center for Youth educator arrested after allegedly putting juvenile in chokehold

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. — The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice announced that they have arrested a former educator at the Bridge City Center for Youth following an investigation into an incident involving a juvenile at the facility.

Officials said 62-year-old Levelle Walker, of East Baton Rouge Parish, was arrested on Wednesday.

According to OJJ, the investigation began after an incident on Tuesday. Walker allegedly placed a juvenile in a chokehold. Officials said video evidence reviewed during the investigation confirmed Walker “secured his arms around the youth’s neck.”…
