A St. Paul man who had been out of prison for less than a year has been charged with the murder of a 27-year-old who was fatally shot on April 30.
Michael C. Garland, 26, of St. Paul, faces two counts of second-degree murder, one with intent, one without intent, while committing a felony, in the death of 27-year-old Adarius S. Glees.
Police were called to the 200 block of 7th Street East around 8:50 p.m. that night on a report of a shooting. They found Glees inside an apartment, lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to his stomach. The bullet had exited through his back.
