SHREVEPORT, La. — State highway officials took to social media Friday to explain the purpose of an addition to the existing Jimmie Davis Bridge that seemed to puzzle drivers.
DOTD said it’s simply a containment system that’s part of the ongoing project related to the new bridge’s construction but also will help to eventually transform the two-lane bridge into a bicycle and pedestrian crossing.
