FirstEnergy’s Chuck Jones gets devastating new indictment, but justice gets delayed again

Ohio’s biggest corruption scandal just got bigger but also more infuriating for anyone wanting to see the architects of the bribery scheme in orange jumpsuits.

Before outgoing Attorney General Dave Yost left office this week, he dropped a bombshell: sweeping new indictments against former FirstEnergy CEO Chuck Jones and former top lobbyist Michael Dowling, the two men already accused of orchestrating a $4.3 million bribe to former state utility regulator Sam Randazzo.

Today in Ohio hosts said Friday the new indictments clearly identify Jones and Dowling as the architects of the entire HB6 Statehouse bribery scheme…
