Highway 17 widening project nearing completion

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A highway widening project that has slowed traffic along Highway 17 for more than a year could be completed by the end of 2026.

The project runs for about a mile and a half between Highway 707 and Harrelson Boulevard and will expand the number of lanes from four to six.
