The Folly Beach Wahine Classic Returns for Its 24th Year

The waves, the energy, and the sisterhood are back on Folly Beach this summer as the Folly Beach Wahine Classic returns to the Washout for its 24th year on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26.

As the largest nonprofit women’s surf competition on the East Coast, and the only all-girls surf competition of its kind in South Carolina, the Folly Beach Wahine Classic has become one of the Lowcountry’s most beloved summer traditions. Each year, more than 250 surfers, along with their families, friends, and supporters, travel from across the country to experience a weekend full of surf, community, and coastal culture.

Held at Folly’s iconic Washout, the competition welcomes surfers of all ages and skill levels, creating an encouraging atmosphere where seasoned competitors and first-time participants alike can share their love for the ocean.
