A man was walking along a sidewalk in Philadelphia when a small cardboard box sitting off to the side made him slow down.
At first, he almost kept going. Just another piece of trash, he thought. But then he heard a faint, desperate sound coming from inside.
He paused, unsure for a moment… then carefully lifted the lid. And what he saw inside made his heart sink.
Inside the box was a newborn kitten, impossibly tiny, wrapped in a thin piece of fabric. His umbilical cord was still attached, and he was completely alone…
