SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A 62-year-old woman was killed late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in North Park, authorities said.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened just before 11:40 p.m. in the 2600 block of El Cajon Boulevard near Hamilton Street.
Police said a 42-year-old man driving a 2020 Volkswagen Passat was heading eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard when he hit the woman who was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk. She was walking north to south at the time of the impact.
First responders transported the woman to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released at this time.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police say alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash…
