STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that the Commission on Government Efficiency — otherwise known as COGE — will be hosting citywide public input sessions and is expected to come to Staten Island at the end of June.
COGE, which consists of various individuals from city agencies, is tasked with reviewing the entire New York City Charter rulebook. Its job is to find outdated rules, inefficient practices, and propose fixes to make city government run better.
