Ohio State University Approves $8.75 Million Fairfield County Land Purchase for New Outpatient Medical Facilities

The Ohio State University has approved an $8.75 million land acquisition in Fairfield County as part of plans to expand outpatient healthcare services through its Wexner Medical Center network.

The purchase was authorized by the university’s Board of Trustees on June 3 and includes approximately 17 acres of undeveloped land near Taylor Road and Blacklick-Eastern Road in Violet Township. The parcels are located adjacent to the former Wigwam property, a historic retreat once owned by the Wolfe family.

According to university documents, the land will be used to support future development of outpatient medical facilities aimed at expanding healthcare access in Fairfield County.
