Chattanooga man charged with setting a gas pump on fire before taking off early Sunday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Chattanooga man faces charges after police say he set a gas pump on fire then ran away early Sunday morning.

According to an affidavit obtained by our newsroom, it happened just 2 in the morning at a QT gas station on Browns Ferry Road.

The affidavit says the gas station manager told officers that the suspect, later identified as Robert Ford, was seen lighting a Chick Fil A cup lid into the gas pump and setting it ablaze…
