NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) – The Ohio Township Fire Department was called out to a house fire in the 6400 block of Waterstone Court around 4:37 a.m. Sunday.
Once they arrived, firefighters found a single-family home with smoke and fire coming from the garage. Everyone inside the home was able to get out safely with the assistance of the Newburgh Police Department and Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.
The homeowner told authorities that their dog, who has a history of waking them up to storms or if he is anxious, was able to wake them up as the fire started to burn…
