1 in custody after standoff, alleged robbery in Grand Rapids, police say

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A suspect was arrested after a standoff that stemmed from an alleged robbery Sunday, the Grand Rapids Police Department said.

It happened on Lincoln Avenue near Hiaschutter Place in Grand Rapids, just north of Second Street. A witness told GRPD that someone was robbed while walking, saying they saw the suspect run into a home on Lincoln Avenue.

Police set up a perimeter and tried to get the suspect to come out. Many police cruisers and a SWAT truck was at the scene…
