Suspect killed in LAPD shooting on 405 Freeway identified; ghost gun recovered

A man who was shot and killed by Los Angeles police after allegedly firing at officers during a pursuit on the 405 Freeway near Los Angeles International Airport has been identified by authorities.

In a news release issued Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspect as Thomas Hearn and provided new details about the officer-involved shooting that unfolded early Friday morning.
