Floodwaters trap a dozen cave explorers in Alabama; Chattanooga rescuers called to help

JACKSON COUNTY, Ala. — Rescuers from the Chattanooga area were called to northeast Alabama after rising floodwaters trapped cave explorers in two separate caves.

The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Rescue Service says its Cave, Cliff and Technical Rescue Unit was requested by Jackson County Emergency Management to assist with a cave rescue near Stevenson, Alabama.
