Increasingly humid air in Michigan in a week that is expected to be a scorcher will stir up thunderstorms statewide this week, some of which could become severe.
Thunderstorms are forecast to develop on and off from Monday night, June 8, through Thursday, June 11, across Michigan with the strongest conditions expected on Wednesday, June 10, according to the Storm Prediction Center maintained by the National Weather Service.
“Multiple rounds of scattered showers and storms are expected across the area beginning late tonight and lasting into Tuesday evening (June 9),” Gaylord NWS said on social media on June 8. “Very warm and increasingly humid weather is in store through the middle of this week with highs well into the 80s and possibly even the low 90s.”…
