SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Suffolk City Government has announced that a city contractor will begin construction work at the entrance to Bennett’s Creek Crossing Shopping Center on Monday, June 8.
The work will take place at the Bridge Road and Walden Road intersection, and is expected to last approximately one week.
Officials say that portions of the entrance will be temporarily closed during that time while several improvements are being made, such as:
- Replacement of entrance aprons
- Reconstruction and enhancement of entrance areas
- Installation of updated ADA-accessible features
- Upgrades to bring the entrance into compliance with current standards.
Officials go on to say that this is part of the final phase of the Shoulder’s Hill Road and Bridge Road project, and that it will provide a safer and more accessible entrance for shoppers and visitors…
