Two charged after dog dies at home in Halfmoon

HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday that two people from Halfmoon were arrested last week in connection to an animal abuse investigation. Allison Fisher, 23, and Livia Boddie, 21, were both charged with three counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance.

Fisher and Boddie are accused of neglecting to provide adequate food and water to a Husky mix and two cats at a residence on Tower Way in Halfmoon. Law enforcement officials stated that the dog was found dead in a car on the property on June 3, and that its cause of death remains to be determined.

According to the SCSO, the two cats were voluntarily turned over to Halfmoon’s Animal Control Officer before they were transported to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter for treatment. Fisher and Boddie were released after being charged and are expected to appear in Halfmoon Town Court at later date for further proceedings.
