EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Drivers on Evansville’s east side will face significant traffic restrictions starting June 15, as construction work begins at the intersection of the Lloyd Expressway and Burkhardt Road.
The project is weather-dependent and will only begin if conditions allow for seven consecutive days of dry weather, according to Nicole Minton, Lloyd4U Project spokesperson.
“Weather permitting, if it looks anything like today, we will not start the work, but hopefully, next Monday on the 15th, we’re going to start a week-long project at Burkhart and the Lloyd,” Minton said. “It’s going to mean a very, very different way of traveling through that intersection. And for a lot of folks, it won’t be worth driving through that intersection during those seven days.”
