Indianola Man Charged with Felony Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop

An Indianola man is facing a felony drug charge after a traffic stop Wednesday evening led to the discovery of methamphetamine.

According to court documents filed in Warren County, 37-year-old Jacob James Lowe of Indianola is charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a Class D felony.

Court records show an Indianola police officer was conducting traffic enforcement at approximately 5:43 p.m. on June 3rd when he observed a silver Buick Lucerne being driven by Lowe. After checking the vehicle registration, the officer learned the registered owner had a revoked driver’s license. Dispatch later confirmed Lowe’s driving privileges had been revoked due to prior OWI-related test refusal and test failure sanctions that remain in effect through 2027…
