CHESTERLAND, Ohio — The return of a church steeple damaged during the August 2024 tornado that swept through parts of Geauga and Lake counties has been delayed, forcing the postponement of a planned community celebration.
Mayfield Church in Chesterland announced Thursday that the installation of its rebuilt steeple has been pushed back because of what church officials described as unforeseen logistical challenges.
The steeple is now expected to return during the week of June 29. A dedication ceremony and celebration that had been scheduled for June 21 has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date…
