EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – Evansville Police are investigating after $12,000 of copper was allegedly stolen.
According to an EPD report, officers were called to the 1500 block of Maryland Street for a theft report. The caller claimed a Conex box had the lock cut off and items were stolen.
Officers got the chance to talk to the caller at the corner of Seventh and Fountain avenues and found out the caller is an employee of a local construction company. He claimed the box had 60 rolls of copper sheathed cable. The estimated value was about $12,000…
