Fountain Inn spring cleaning program removes more than 52 tons of bulk waste

The City of Fountain Inn’s annual Spring Cleaning Program provided residents with a convenient way to dispose of unwanted bulk items while helping maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of neighborhoods throughout the community.

From May 1 through May 23, the Fountain Inn Public Works Department completed 525 residential pickups and collected more than 52.27 tons of bulk waste, more than doubling the 21.71 tons collected during the previous year’s program.

A total of 517 households registered to participate, with some of the highest participation rates coming from the Country Gardens, Fountainbrook, Winterbrook and Woodland Heights neighborhoods…
