BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — There’s a new top cop in the city of Boca Raton.
On Monday, the city announced it selected Jarad L. Phelps as its next chief of police for the Boca Raton Police Services Department and extended a conditional offer of employment following a national recruitment process that drew interest from across the country.
Phelps currently serves as chief of police for the City of Jacksonville, North Carolina, where he leads an accredited law enforcement agency with 136 sworn officers and 40 professional staff members.
