Greydon Howell becomes Oklahoma’s calming voice after weekend of recruiting losses

There’s only one wide receiver left that’s committed to the Oklahoma Sooners’ 2027 recruiting class after a weekend of flips at the position, but that last man standing took time to assure OU fans that there’s still no reason to fret as he has an insider’s perspective.

After Demare Dezeurn and Tra’Von Hall both flipped during official visits somewhere else over the weekend, three-star athlete Greydon Howell, who’s expected to play receiver for the Sooners once in Norman, became the only 2027 prospect OU has committed at the position. As the abrupt weekend of losses had some fans panicking and even after the head of OU wide receivers coach Emmett Jones on social media, Hall also went on X to maturely try to calm the storm.

Howell is a freak athlete from Broken Bow High School in Oklahoma. He’s talented enough to play quarterback, running back, wide receiver or safety at the college level. Last season as a sophomore for Broken Bow, Howell totalled 4,332 yards of offense and 47 touchdowns while primarily playing quarterback and also excelling on the defensive side of the ball…
