Gas leak prompts evacuations in East Pierce County

Update: Gerald Tracy, spokesperson for Puget Sound Energy, told The News Tribune the gas leak lifted at about 11:08 a.m.

“What we can tell so far is a third party, non-PSE worker, hit the residential gas line which caused a leak. They were doing some work out there,” Tracy said.
