There was a gun, but no armed robbery, at Sellwood 7 Eleven

The report of a robbery with a weapon at the Sellwood 7‑Eleven store at S.E. 17th Avenue and Tacoma Street, on the evening of Friday, May 15th, was determined by the responding Central Precinct officers ultimately not to be a robbery at all.

Dispatch log entry 26‑141037 showed several officers were sent at 8:16 p.m. to a “Robbery-with-Weapon” reported at the convenience store in Sellwood.

Five Portland Police Bureau district patrol cars responded, with three of them investigating at the 7‑Eleven, and two more circulating on nearby streets, before officers began clearing the scene a short time later…
