EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A Vanderburgh County judge sentenced Shayna Burko to two years in the Department of Corrections for animal cruelty charges dating back to 2018.
Burko has a history of animal abuse spanning multiple counties. On June 1, she pleaded guilty but mentally ill to animal cruelty charges in Warrick County, receiving a sentence of four years behind bars and ordered to pay $8,000 in restitution.
