Kobold’s Kitchen offers library of 800 board games and global cuisine in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Board-game cafe Kobold’s Kitchen has officially opened its doors in Grand Rapids’ Creston neighborhood.

Formerly home to Fat Boy Burgers, the space at 2450 Plainfield Ave. NE now offers a globally inspired menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The soft opening kicked off on June 3.

Minnesota native Theodore “Teo” Geiger acquired the space after it was put up for sale in 2024, renovating the interior into a spacious dining room and a semi-private game room, complete with a wall of 800 board games and a community table…
