A 56-year-old Oakland man was arrested after members of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office caught him driving one of multiple department vehicles stolen Sunday from a parking garage.
After spotting one of the stolen vehicles driving in Oakland, deputies conducted a “high-risk traffic stop” and arrested the driver, Darryl Roach, on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
Members of the department discovered around 7:15 a.m. Sunday that five vehicles — including two belonging to the sheriff’s office and two others that were also county-owned — were stolen from a parking garage located on 13th Street in downtown Oakland…
