The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook warning of continued showers and thunderstorms across East Tennessee, southwest Virginia and portions of western North Carolina.
According to the outlook issued early Tuesday, some storms could produce very heavy rainfall and create a risk of isolated flash flooding, particularly in areas that experience repeated or prolonged periods of heavy rain.
