Two Wisconsin students heading to the Jimmy Awards in New York City

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Two local students are heading to the Jimmy Awards in New York City, Overture Center officials said Monday.

The Jerrys are a statewide high school theater awards program, in which three reviewers are sent out to participating schools to watch their performances and provide written feedback and nominations.

The Jimmy Awards, also known as the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, are the national version of the same program.

Middleton High School senior Ava Greenberg, who won a 2026 Jerry for Outstanding Lead Performance as Eurydice in Hadestown, and Kettle Moraine School for Arts and Performance senior William Kastner, who won a 2026 Jerry for Outstanding Lead Performance as Hunk/Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz and Cpt. Joseph Riser in The Hello Girls, will head to the Jimmy Awards on June 22…
