San Diego firefighters press city council for more competitive pay amid staffing concerns

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Many city worker unions make annual presentations to the San Diego City Council to report back on recruitment, retention and vacancies.

On Monday, it was more timely than ever that local firefighters were stepping up to make their case for better wages amid crews fighting the Sorrento Fire and a looming budget vote.
