DES MOINES — Gov. Kim Reynolds announced today that she has appointed David Ranscht, of Ankeny, as a district judge in Judicial District 5A.
Ranscht is general counsel for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, according to the governor’s office. He previously worked as an assistant attorney general in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office from 2016 to 2024.
